Yes, our water is clean, bilharzia-free and supplies our biggest metros with their drinking water. And the Dam ‘flushes’ the lower, Vaal River and Barrage (Vereeniging, VDBP and Sasolburg), so don’t get the Dam confused with those, reportedly, polluted places!
Vaal Delta is in Deneysville itself but right at the water's edge, away from the CBD. We sit on stunning views of South Bay and the original Lake Deneys and offer you water access!
Our Sisters Dam Pub (fully licensed), is adjacent to the property and services the units (D/B&B) or self-catering!

Or, if you are a skipper, self-sail round the island - yes there is one, 7km long! Alternatively, we can arrange the Party Boat for you - taking up to 30 people (3 hours on the water).
We organize events, firewalking, all-day braais and beach bashes are back-to-back at the bar.
Indoors, aside from our, unique wide-open views of the water, we offer jacuzzis, pamper zones and games rooms - all for your exclusive and private use.
Our accommodation is diverse with different configurations suitable for visitors be they couples, families or groups. The apartments are on the second and third floor elevation so there are some steps, but the views are unequalled at the Vaal Dam.
Rooming options include large and small penthouses, each of which boast vast views of South Bay (the original Lake Deneys), as well as water access, (one of a handful of establishments that offers prize positions at the dam at no extra cost or effort)!
Following the rains, the water is brimming! And the flamingos are back, together with gulls, terns; fish-eagles, are among the 60 water bird species which populate the dam - and counting. They're in their element as the ecology favours their breeding and eating patterns. And fishing is rife!
Simply walk down to our gardens and into the park to fish, sun-bathe or swim, pick-nick or boat - or even go island spotting as the rainy season subsides.
Leave from our property and return to a neighbouring marina within walking distance. (We'll take care of the heavy stuff, or you can be ferried back with the skipper or driver.)
Have a braai while you watch the yachts sail by.
